MAY 4, 2012 Gates open at 5:00 p.m. races start at 7:00 p.m.  If you were at the stock car races on Friday, April 20 during the rain out bring your ticket back to get in without paying again. See you there!

Races Rained Out

Last night was the first night of the 2012 stock car season.  We had a fairly good car count.  They had practice, then qualifying and one race.  Then the rain came and the races were cancelled.

However, this racer didn't fair very well.  He and another chevette tangled in practice before the races.

This is Trey Reece that was in the wreck tonight.  I took this photo of him a couple weeks ago.  Some of you had ask who he was, so here is a photo.

Bad wreck on the oval track tonight.

Two drivers were involved in an accident tonight on the oval track during test and tune.  The silver front runner car driven by Trey Reece lost control of his car in turn one and came down in front of the black #3 driven by Dakota Gibson.  I talked to Dakota and this is what happen according to him.  The air vac helicopter, Bowling City Fire Dept. with Jaws truck, Richardsville Dire Dept. all were called to the track.  Reece was cut out of his car.  The air vac may have clipped an electric wire on the track and was grounded for three hours until the proper people could come check it out.  Reece was taken by ambulance to the Medical Center of Bowling Green.  I will have more on this story as soon as I have it.
