Test and Tune

This photo was of the new class of Chevette's.  The Chevette's will be racing this year.  Raymond Summers #99, Mark Vibbert #55, John Vibbert #15, Jeff York #5, Paul Ramsey #85, Paul Ramsey, Jr. #84 and Richard Ramsey #83 were at Beech Bend Raceway today.  I talked to these guys and they said they would have 12 to 15 Chevette's each week.

Late Model news, Wayne Green, Jr. was testing #9 Late Model owned by Tommy Lawrence.  Wayne had the car at a flat 17 second with old used tires.  Wayne said the car will be faster with new tires and more seat time.

Front Runner and Front Runner Figure-8 car #7 was at test and tune.  The driver will be Trey Reece.  Trey had his out today but it wasn't running very good.  They are working to get it ready for April 20 race.

NOTE:  I TALKED TO TRACK OWNER DALLAS JONES TODAY AND HAVE TWO THINGS TO SHARE WITH YOU RACERS.  (1) I HAVE BEEN ASK BY SOME SPORTSMAN DRIVERS IF WE WERE HAVING A SPECIAL SPORTSMAN RACE?  ANSWER: NO, ONLY WHAT IS ON THE SCHEDULE.  (2) THIS YEAR, EVERY DRIVER GETS IN THE PITS FREE WITH HIS CAR.  ONLY ONE DRIVER PER CAR!
